In Mcrnorlam
On the 8th day of October, 11)09,
many hearts were saddened with a
eh ml of sorrow when it was known
that Mr J. W. Chestnut of the Shell
section had phsscd over the river
and gone to his reward.
SVe can truthfully say another
/.rood, honest and truthful man has
gone from us. lie was kind and
gentle to all whom lie met and was
e/cr ready to lend a helping hand
to those in trouble. He was a good
husband, a loving father and a
good neighbor.
He leaves a wife, two sons, two
daughters and a host friends to
mourn their loss.
May Heaven bless the dear family
and may they all meet him in the
better world,
Therefore oe it resolve/l,
1. That we bow in humble submission
to our Heavenly Father's
will.
2. That we tender our sympathy
to his bereaved wife and children
3. That a copy of these resolu
tions be srnt to his family and a
copy to the Horry Herald and the
Field. J ii. B. Edge

NO openings in the barrel?all parts
arc ink-tight. No rubber sacks to
break or get out of order the
life of a rubber sack in contact with the
acid in ink is very short and uncertain.
Easy to fill.?Simply insert the nozzle
or pen end in the ink and draw the plunger
out once and the trick is done, screw
parts together, and go ahead and write.
Pen is never out of commission even if
the filling device failed to work, as the
nozzle can be unscrewed and the pen
filled just like an ordinary old style fountain
pen. This is a feature contained in
no other self-filling pen on the market.
1 he self-filling dc vice may be entirely dis- I
carded and the pen will work perfectly.
