Editor Herald:
As sonetimo has elapsed since f
attempted to write a piece to my
ho ne paper, I have decided to try
it again, as I was encouraged by
securing space before. While it may
not be of much interest to anyone,
yet if it should again bo printed I
% trust it will do some good or be
news to some one at loist.
v We are having hot weather at
this writing.
Thefgardens are looking fine.
The health of our people seems to
be fairly good. All are in g>od
spirits and spending the time pleasantly.
Wo have had two burn-outs since
I came to this place. One was the
company store, known as Caper &
Co., and the other a feed, sale and
livery stable. Three horses and a
carload of buggies hat has just arrift
wn.s Rar?h r?lnr?r>
was fully covered by insurance so
1 was informed.
We are always glad to get our
homo paper. Why dont more write?
Do so, if it goos to the waste basket
Don't stop and give up at your first
letter should it not appear. It may
never have reached the editor Try
over until you are satisfied it was
not fit fv>r the press and always signing
your name.

do as you would be done by Love
begets love and hides a multitude of
faults. It is worth while to remember
this. Christ loved all and d ed
to save all, yet he will only save
those who wills to bo?those who
strive earnestly and honestly. They
aro the only ones that shall seethe
glory of God. Wo will never enter
heaven angry with one another, we
must be true, Get us leave ofi'
wrong doing, evil thinking or speaking,
and especially the 1 atter, for it
may causa.others to think wrong,
therefore spreading evil. Lets go
back to the good old paths as a wandering
sheep to the fold and walk
therein. Tho holy book tell us that
time shall wax worse and more deceiving
and being deceived until the
end of time. Yea, it says that the
time will come that whosoever killeth
you will think that he doeth
God's service This is proof to my
mind that this world in not getting
bettor as some preachers tell us. ]
cannot believe it. The Bible does
not lie; let God be true and every
man a liar. I sincerely believe this
is true in some places where they
are just learning of Christ. He
member now thy creator in tho days

come not nor the years draw neigh
when I shall say I have no pleasure
in them.

Man seeks pleasure and ease. This
is what he wants. This train gives
t his, so ho has got what is desired.
] heartily agree with J W Pi and
Isaiah Todd. They are men of my
mind. Friends, turn to your Bible
and read it honestly and earnestly
- seeking to know tho truth. What
j- ^ Clod would have you and ldo to gain
eternal life. Home, sweet home,
* when shall see it? Oh! when shall 1

day to keep in holy. Six days shalt
thou labor and do all thy work. This
is not all but you all know it. It is
worth while for us to remember this.
