for Conway you should keep your
mouth as close as any oyster.
Conway needs a society for the !
prevention of cruelty to animals. We
opine that live stock hereabouts will
rise up and call the man blessed who
will organize such a society.
"They" do say that there is some
talk of organizing an exploring expedition
for the purpose of discovering
the lost petition of Conway for a
double daily passenger service.
The cost of living is out of sight. _
With "white bacon" at 15 cents per
pound, Hour $1.00 for twenty-four
pounds and other necessaries of life
equally high the lines of the wa^e
earner has indeed fallen in rough

to give the matter their most careful

have come to a decision one way or '
another in this time and relieve the
situation of its uncertainty and its .
annoyance. Tf we arc to have the i
service which means so much for 1
the progress and future of Conway,
let us know it; on the other hand if *
they do not intend to grant the ,
request, or if they are powerless to |
do so by reason of a conflict of jurisdiction,
or for any other cause whatever,
say so. Don't treat us dis- \
courteously, to say nothing about
contempt. Don't act toward us as if 1
we were children crying for sweets
when it was not good for us to have .

and necessities and who have the
courage to en voke the strong arm
of the law to vouchsafe to them that
which they know to lie for the betterment
of exisiting conditions and

us be informed without any more
delay, and with equal promptness
let us know if our reasonable request
