of Judge Aldrich the Blind Tiger
still lives. Absolute prohibition is
the only remedy to cure the evil, o
Conway is a delightful place in
which to livo. It is healthy, its climate
is salubrious and is people are
hospitable and the county offers unlimited
inducements for money making
and money saving.
Horry's contribution to the fund
being raised for the purpose of erecting
a monument to the Women of
the Confederacy at Columbia, is$10.
Surely some patriotic Son of Horry
whether to the manner born or by
adoption, is working to place the
county in the right column. At
least $500 should go up from Horry
for this purpose. The Sons of the
Confederacy should see to to it that
this sum at least is made up,

made another step forward. Ol
course the present undertaking is
not all that is desired along this line
but is far ahead of none and shows
an inclination on the part of oui
people to improve the sanitary con
tidion of their homes and surround
ings, and we take this small bogin
ning as a forerunner of a larger
sewerage system to come.
Conway is most assuredly gaining
an unenviable reputation. Twc
