The hardware men are preparing
for cold weather by getting in their
winter supply of stoves and heaters,
while the coal and wood men wear
broad smiles.
Several of our business men took
in the shows at Wilmington last
week, the occassion t here being the
ElUs Fest, which was largely adver
tised.
The Sank of Conway will soon
havo tiled flooring outside of the
railing m the main ollice. When
completed the Bank of Conway will
have as handsome rooms as any bank
in the State.
The Herald acknowledges with
thanks the receipt of one of the
largest sweet potatoes in Horry
this season. It was grown by Mr S
F Lewis and its weight was nine
pounds.
There will boa meeting of Conway
Fire Company Friday evening
Nov Kith at 7:110 o'clock in the town
hall. All members are requested

A box supper will be given at
Maple school house on Wednesday
night November 18lh. The proceeds
will go for the benefit of the School

There will be a measuring party
at tho Methodist parsonage ai

5 cents per inch. Proceeds to go
to conference collections.

last week.
An infant of Mr and Mrs J T Proc

been in feeblo health nearly all its

Lake Side cemetery the following
day. A lelicate and beautiful flower
has been early plucked to shed its

suffered a severe loss from lire on ,
Sunday morning before last. His ,
four room cottage, his kitchen smoke f

the sad misfortune of his aged father.
