The health of the community is
generally good.
The warm and rainy weather continues
to come.
No weddings to report at this
writing and 1 hope that if sayings
are true they will cease for awhileat
this place. Some say it must be so
many weddings which has caused
the continued rains that has almost
destroyed the entire crops in the
Bay, so if that be the case, I say
please let the weddings cease until
crops are gathered.
The recent rains have also have
caused Gen. Green to get the upper
hand of the plow and hoe arid is
now doing a hustling business in the
fields.
Tobacco curing and sleepy heads
are very common at this piaco now
as well as in other places M. White
has the finest tobacco patch the
writer fias seen in this section.
Some of the farmers are expecting
a good price for tobacco this season
and we hope they will succeed in
getting it.
Some of the people are fearing
that tho bridge at Grices' Forrv,
which is so much needed, will not be
completed this fall on account of the
river being so full that they can do
no work.
