Lord has seen til to water the earth,
aud we arc now having very nice
seasons, for which wo feel very thankful.
Crops are in good condition
and are looking prosperous.
We have a large and progressive
Sunday school at Buck Creek, in
which we feel that the good Lord
meets with us each and every Sunday
in the person of 11 is llolv
Spirit and blesses our labors with
success.
According to previous appointment
the singing choir at Buck
Creek on the fourth Sunday in May
went to Beulah, Brunswick Co., N.
C., to pay their church and Sunday
school a visit. They were cordially
received and a grand speech of welcome
was delivered by the Rev. J.
II. Stanley after which we had very
beautiful singing by the choirs at
Beulah and Buck Creek. There wore
also several very nice speeches by
the little girls and boys. A speech
of thanks was ottered by Deacon
W. L. Hardee for the good behavior
and kindness shown us. The day
was pleasant and a very large crowd
attended; and all seemed to enjoy
the occasion very much. We feel
that there was much good accom
plished. We are thankful to the
people of Beulah for the kindness and
hospitality shown us. and we would
be glad to have them come to see us.
We must say notwithstanding the
large audiancc, there was the best
behavior we ever saw. After the
exorcises were over, we were dismissed
by the Itev. .1. H. St;, .ley
invoking God's blessings upo us
all in benediction. Then <juiie a
number of us went to the homes >!'
Messrs. Jinnnic Bellamy, 11. .i
Bennett and the homes of other-,
whore we enjoyed ourselves very
much and participated in a very line
dinner. Deacons W. L Hardee and
L. I). Cox accompanied the choir
which was appreciated.
One night last week we were invited
to the home of of L. I). Cox
and took a bee gum that had nine
gallons of honcv in it. Who can
beat that? Let us hear from you.
