We were surprised to hear of any
one attempting to darken his character.
He was indeed a good man,
and was held in the highest esteem
by all who knew him. And what
about Mr. Booth, is lie not to, a
good man? It seems as though
Wait wants to ruin'all the good men
to save his client. We need good j
lawyers and we have them and I am
thankful for them, but woo to you
lawyers such as would disgrace a
good man's character. Such was
not needed in former days nor do

Postmaster Robbed.
G. W. Fonts, Postmaster at
Rivcrton, la., nearly lost his life
and was robbed of all comfort, according
to his letter, which says:"
For 20 years 1 had chronic liver
complaint, which led to such a severe
case of jaundice that even my
linger nails turned yellow; when my
doctor prescribed Electric Bitters;
which cured me and have kept mo

1900, little Joe Singleton Wc ?.
the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. L
K. West, died, lb' was fourteen
months of age. Little Joe was a
pretty, intelligent friendly little
lellow. the ;dol of the family. He
was buried at Socasieo graveyard.
Funerafized at the church. The funeral
services were conducted by
