Miss Martha Stevens was boh Vi

on the night of Feb. Kith,1906, but \
when we had to give her up our 1

dened and darkened.
Martha was ? good helper, a loving
sister and a devoted child. She i
was loveu bv all the family and ac

her lower limbs burned for a little <
over a month and said several times I
that she saw Jesus and His angels c
sitting on the throne, and that she i
was going to sit with them; told the (
family that sin; luted to leave them, I
but was going t> live with Jesus. <.
Martha was a member of the Cane l
Branch Baptist church, and will be 1
sadly missed there and in the Sun- f
lay school and especially in the singing,
as she was a very sweet

some they marched to the grave
singing "Pass me not o gentle Saviour."

Randolph Johnson died last week.
Also we learn of the death of Mr.
Furncy Ward, who lived near here.
Mr. Ward was ill with small pox
only about five days when God saw
best to stop his earthly career. He
leaves a wife and several children to
mourn the loss of a husband and
