Notice is hereby given that an elec
tion will be held at the several pre
cincts established by law in Horry
County, on Tuesday, the rd day of
October A D 1905, for the purpose
of submitting the question of "Pis
pensury" or ''No, Dispensary," to
the qualified voters of the said Coun
ty of llorry, in accordance with an
order duly signed by the Supervisor
of the said county, and directed to
the undersigned under date of Au
gust Hth, 1905, said order having
been made under and in pursuance
of an act entitled, "An act to pro
vide for the Election of the State
Hoard of Control, and to Further
liegulato the Sale, use, Consump
'tion, Transportation Disposition of
Intoxicating and Alcoholic Liquors
or Liquids.in this State, and Pre
scribe Further Penalties for ;Yio
lation of the Dispensary Laws,
and to police the Same," approval

On the day of the election the man:
ugcrs must organize by the election
of a chairman, and a clerk if necessary.
The chairman elected is authorized
to administer the oaths to
the other managers.
The managers have the power to
fill any vacancy, and if none of the
managers attend, the citizens can
appoint from among the qualified
voters the managers who, after being |
sworn can conduct the election.
At the close of the election the
managers and clerk must proceed
publicly to open the ballot boxes
and count the ballots therein, and
continue without adjournment
until the same is completed, and
make a statement of the result, and
sign the same.
Within three days thereafter, the
chairman of the board or some one
designated by the board, must deliver
to the commissioners of election
the poll list the boxes containing
