SHARE Tn k destruction of the Farmers Warehouse here last Fall by the September storm struck a blow to the tobacco warehouse business at Con- i way because it removed the element of competition from the market , and may result in losing Conway some of ( the weed that she should sell. At ; Mullins, Marion and other near-by 1 points where great quantities of tobacco are sold every year, there are several warehouses and those towns ; did not amount to much as tobacco markets until each possessed several warehouses. Hut the Farmers Warehouse answered the purpose at Con way more in name than any other way, because it was off to one side during the greater part of its existence, and was nearly as badly situated when moved from the Muster Field to the site upon which it was when bloweti down and destroyed. To have made it what it should have been in the tobacco business here, it should have been placed near the older house. It is not thought that the Farmers will ever be rebuilt. It _ - - - is destroyed totally it might be said. But while Conway has bat one warehouse this \ear, that one warehouse < will likely get its full share of the 1 tobacco raised in the country.
