We have this week sent, out conimissions
to trustees, in inost districts
the commissions of the three
members were all mailed to one.
The oiio therefore receiving commissions
will please call a meeting of
the board and 01 gani/.e by electing
one of their number chairman and
one clerk. Apportionments will be
sent to trustees as soon as possible,
but we are not able to say just how
long it will be before the auditor
can furnish us with data for making
apportionments,

Tlie Work of Missions.
Several months ago Mr. Uobt. M.
Floyd was appointed as colporter
and Sunda,\ School worker for Horry
and live other counties, by the
State Mission Hoard, of the Sou thern
Baptist Convention. He is endors
ed by the Pee Dee, Waceamaw. and
the Welsh Neck Missionary Baptist
Associations.
The object of his work is to see
that every home in his territory is
well supplied with the Holy Bible and
other good literature, to get the peo
pie unci especially the boys and girls
to read more of the right kind of lit
erature, and by tins to improvo the
mind and moral character.
Just at this time and for several
weeks past Mr. Floyd has been at
work in this county, scattering the
gospel in the homos he visits, selling
the bible to those who are able
and willing to buy and giving them
away to those who are unable to pay
money. The churches of the county
should appreciate this work that
the. mission board is doing through
Mr. Floyd at its expense. If the
question wore asked, "How much
does 1 lorry county contribute to missions?,"
the sum of not more than
lifiy dollars would probably answer
the question. This work is being
done must be worth several hundred.
If you wish to buy a bible Mr.
Floyd can save you money on it. You
can get a $2.50 bible for 00cents and
one dollar, a $11.00 ono for $1.25, a
$0.00 one for $3.00, large or small

Horry eounty has boon neglected
in this work heretofore, while it ha*
