county seat by the Supervisor or by
some suitable porson under the prop
er rules and regulations that may
bo made? Then we could get them
when needed, and the fear of the ]
dogs might do some good. (

J. M . Stevens of the Shell section
brought in one on Saturday which
was gathered on the 23rd He lias

We are told that J. A. Tindal ol
Don#ola had plenty of blooms in
his crop last week and week before.
J. W, Roberts of Jordanville sent
in one picked on the 22nd from h's
line crop near there.
A bloom was also received from
R. A. Lawrimorc of the Don#ola
section. He will not be left at harvest
time jud#in# from his prospects
now.
On Saturday the oftice received a
fresh bloom from the farm of J. II.
Bland of the Jordanville section who
always makes a #ood crop.
Last Tuesday one was sent in by
I). M. Smith, gathered on the 124th
from his fine farm in Socostec.
? On lust Friday a cotton bloom
was brought into the oflice from the
ten acre field of J* W. Roberts of
the Jordan ville section. 11 is bloom
was picked on the 22nd. lie has a
fine crop.
Mr. S. C. Beverly brings in a
bloom picked on tlie 18th from the
farm of his brother R. J. Beverly in
Bucks. He has a fine place which
is being offered for sale in another
column.
- A bloom has also been received
from J. W. Full wood from the fine
crop he has on the Enterprise plantation.
Now who is the man who will send
us the first ripe watermelon grown
in Horry county this year? It will
be appreciated just as highly as the
cotton blooms.
