an account of his stewardship in the
| office, and showed that he was al'

was not present.
W. K. Holt then led off for sheriff
and thanked the people for support
before. He hoped they would remember

Buck Creek Union.
The Buck Creek Union met in the
i <m ii session wun mo church at
Mt. Tabor Friday and Saturday
before the 5th Sunday in July 1904.
This union \va? composed of sixteen
churches, of which all but two were
rep resen ted.
The appointee to preach the introductory
sermon was not present
and the Moderator, Deacon J. M.
Jolly proceeded to open the union
with devotional oxocises, after which
routine of business was transacted,
until it came to query No. 1, which
reads, "Is it sacrificing to give to
the Lord's cause that which we do
not feel the need of?" It was discussed
by Klder G. F. Stanly. The
discussion was received by the Union
with the answer, "no." Question
No. 2. "How shall we win the
largest amount of souls for Christ."
After an able discussion bv deacons,
laymen and Rev. G. F. Stanley, the
answer went down on the docket:
"A man should get right and live
right himself."
Saturday the congregation was
larger, and on Sunday the people
gathered until the house (large as
it was) would not accommodate the
crowd.
At 11 o'clock Rov. G. W. Harrelson
preached, we trust, an effective
sermon on missions. Good behavior
and special attention prevailed
throughout the union, and wo trust
much good was accomplished in the
name of Christ Jesus. J. M. Jolly,
