I agree with thccorrespondent on the words, "Come up 11 and look after the bridge," but cannot agree with him that the bridge h is dangdrous as yet, but some per- * son or persons arc making strong ef: 0 forts to make it dangerous and very v dangerous as they have torn part v of the bridge up and floated down 1 the stream. The bridge is not com- o plctc yet and would be a good job when finished if the enemies of the bridge and the builders would let it alone. We would ask Mr. John L. I would suggest as a good place, at , or noar Hardee's Ferry. Tne banks are high and would cost very little to raise above high water mark . I am forty four years old and it has been a constant enquiry by the y travelling public; "How is the flat, ! how is the water, how deep will Tit run in my buggy?" Conway needs v a bridge, the peoplo between tho river and the sea have a poor chance to get to the county seat. A bridge at that place would accommodate . three-fourths of the people goirg to Conway from this side. I say Con- r way needs a bridge because sho ? would get a third more trade from this side. She was married on May 31st, 18G0, joined the church in early life and was a consistent member of the church up to 1894, when she joined the Freewill Bap . ist church and was con verted and lived a consistent Christian 1 if?> up to her death. She leaves a husband, six children and fourteen grand children to mourn their loss and a host of friends. The church has lost a faithful member and the community a good neighbor. The funeral took place at her home the next day conducted by Elder J. T. Todd. A large crowd of relatives and friends being presont. May our heavenly father graciously sustain the bereaved family and friends with his grace here and finally bring each one to the happy reunion above. J. T. Tond.
