On Thursday night of last week,
the postoHieo at Little River was
broken open and robbed, the thief
not finding any money however with
the exception of a few copper cents.
The otlice had been br ?ken open before.
and a negro was suspected of
the crime. On Monday the negro
was brought here by P. K Lessent
and lodged in jail to await a preliminary
investigation.
The literary society of the Burroughs
(J raded School held its regular
semi-monthly meeting last Fri
day afternoon. Selections were recited
by Misses Mat lie Page, Ruth
Collins, and Pauline Ogilvie. An
interesting discussion on the query
