A Destitute Character. i
A white woman by the name of
Strickland, claimed by some who 1
saw her to be crazy, was wandering *'
about the town with an infant for
several days during court week. She
was sick and badly clothed. She I
claimed that she had an Uncle in
Soeastee and wished to go to him.
On Wednsdayof last week, some one
bought her a ticket and slie left for
Soeastee over the Conway Seashore j

They required the payment of one
foliar down, and two notes for the
