The quantity of tobacco sold at tho opening sales was much larger }?. than at the opening sales last year. A The prices realized last week were (! entirely satisfactory to all the far 4* mors, for we have not heard a single word of complaint from anybody. Most of the tobacco sold last week consisted of sand lugs. Some of the farmers got over ten cents per pound for this, the lowest grade of tobacco they raise. Everything ei connected with the opening sales of last week speaks well for our market, and shows that this year has in store greater results than ever e< before. si We believe the Conway market, so far, is leading the markets of this ' section of the State, and if 'lorry n farmers will stick to Conway, she will out class other markets all the year through. | si PRESS COMMENTS.
