co market in the Eastern part of
the State. The assertion carries
weight because it comes from one
who ought to know. One thing is
certain and that is that the farmers
of Horry county can make Conway
One of the leading markets of the
country if they try. The county
raises more and more tobacco every
year. The proper thing to do is to
see tha? all of this tobacco comes to
the 1 lorry market.
Oca two tobacco warehouses will
soon be open and running in full
blast with Sales every day. J. E.
Coles of the Horry Warehouse, and
O. P. Thornton who has leased the
Farmers Warehouse for this year are
busy preparing for the opening sales
which will take place 011 .luly -JJrd.
Let all the farmers bring in some
tobacco for these opening sales.
Buyers from the different markets
will be here on that day to inspect
the different grades of tobacco raised
in the county, and to determine
whether it will pay to locate here
for the season or not. Our farmers'
will see that it is to their interest!

that day, and bring as many different
grades as they possibly can.

Editor Herald:?I notice in last
issue a gentleman writing about the
"court house.". I would like to
meet him and shake his hand, for I
think he is amhonest man. We had
better pay as we go. If we can't
pay, then don't go. for our county is

in enterprise &e, but it is more enjoyable

or when completed, and I think it
best for us to wait till we get the
money, then I'll bo with you. We
people up here do work hard and

money and paying illegal interest,
for building a court house for the
accommodation of the generality of
people who have no I usiness during
court. Sorry to say. a great many
go to court simply t:> lind out some
near cut or to tase some advantage
of their fellow men. 1 think that
we had better make it small and
keep out of debt. It is already large
enough for all who have business.
