Men's Prayer-Meeting.
About eight years ago, Kev. Mr.
Stafford, with the young men of Conway
organized an interdonomuiational
young men's prayer-meeting
for the benefit of the young tden.
When organized, some tried to <5ie
courage us, saying it would only run
two or three months, but we are glad
to say that since that time wo have
hold our regular meetings and still
they are terj interesting and hejpful.
All of us are very glad indeed to
know that the preachers of our town
have become interested in these
meetings and are helping vis, and we
feel that our eight years work has
not been in vain, (iod has blessed
us and we feel that much good has
and will be accomplished by these
meetings, we are sure that God is
on our aide and if God be for ua, who
can be against us. we are weak
but God is strong, we can do nothing
within ourselves, but can do all
things with Christ who strengthened
us.
we need morn christian workers
in our meeting* and we want more
of the unsaved to attend, will you
not attend? Our meeting this week
will be held at the Baptist church;
next week at the Methodist church
and the following week at the Presbyterian
church, we cordially invite
all men to attend all of these
meetings, art! may God bless ua all
and help us to become more interested
in Ilia work.

A Deep Mystery.
It is a mystery why women endure
Backache, Headache, Nervousness,
Sleeplessness, Melancholy, Fainting
and Dizzy Spells when thousands
have proved that Electric Bitter*
will quickly cure such troubles. "I
suffered for year* with kidney trouble,"
writes Mrs. Phebe Cherley, of
Peterson, la., "and a lame back
pained roc so I could-not dress myself,
but Electric Witters wholly
cured me, aud, although 73 years
old, I now am able to do all my house
work." It overcomes Constipatiou,
improves Appetite. gives perfect^
health. Only 50c at Dr. E. NortonV
drug store,
Daisy Brief's.
Several cases of the measles are
reported in the community.
Mr. Richardson, county Supt. of
Education passed through this section
a few days ago.
Our little town is getting on a
hustle as well as some others we
hear of. we have three stores, a
poHlofflce, a cotton ginnery, grits
and saw mill we have a tri-weelcly
mail and are connected with the outside
world by telephone lines.
Mr. willie Shelly who lias been
very ill is able to be out again.
Our public school, under the man
ageuient of our popular teacher, Mr
w.J. Hughes, closed yesterday with
