On Monday evening a man by the r
name of Keater was employed by .
Mr. W. K. Holt as a hand at a cotton
gin to run the gin. during the ab- j
sence of the rest of the employees

the motes therefrom, when his left (
hand was caught in the saws and the
whole arm taken in and completely '
crushed, the force of his body against
the gin threw the belt and saved his
life. Drs. Mace and Burroughs hap- |

promptly amputated the arm. He 1
is doing well being about (58 years
of age.
