In the matter of town election it was stated that Mr, D. A. Spivey was a "candidate" for In tendon t. As a matter of fact Mr Spivey, on learning that his name was being used, issued and posted a circular in which ho said, "1 am not a candidate for the position, have not consented for my name to he used, and would ask as a favor that you cast you ballot for some other person more worthy and competent", The votes cast for him was voluntary and was done against his wishes and sol cmii protest. ?-? i?
