was the pet of the family, and it
seems that the name given him by
his grandfather, made the tie still
stronger. It is hard to give up loved
ones that are near and dear by
the ties of nature, but it is a great
consolation to know that little John
is gone to that bright world where

.Mi-. William Nixon died last Sunday
evening at the residence of Mrs.
Joanna Ilarrelson. hisinotlier in law,
a few miles west of town, lie was
the son of Mr. W. I*. Nixon, of the
(Irahamville section and his body
was taken to Salem church, near his
old home, on Monday for burial. The
mortality in this family has been
very great within the past six
months. Married less than two
years ago, his only child and his wife
preceded him and his death last Sat
unlay makes his immediate family
