Mr. Sam. Tompkins, sleeping over
the store of J. A. Mayo, heard a noiso
which excited his suspicion and 011

H. Lewia. Hurriedly summoning as
sistftnce and finding tho thief had
forced an entrance, tho party proceed
to capture him. Tho rascal proved
to be Kichard Williams colored, about
twenty years old. Tho capture was
^ effected before lie could do any damage
and ho now rests quietly in jail.

morning. Being called at an early
hoar, about daybreak, to soon patient,

in a culvert, hurting himself badly.
