Thomas Little, colored, formerly of
this place, where bis family live, but
who has boon working turpentine in
(ieorgia for several years, was killed
at Sessionvillc, in that State a few
da\sago by V. C\ Jacobs. They had
some dispute over a settlement, when
the latter shot him. Jacobs, is said
to bo from the "Cowry" section of
Kobeson Co.. N ('. Little stood well
here, as a thrifty, well to do man, who
had accumulated money.

upon their team. The two weeks
old team from here was game and
played the professionals as coolly as
you please -they were mostly kills,
lint didn't guy worth a cent. The
bleaching boards were packed by the
tricksters, hut the back wood's boys
bobbed up serenely at the end of the
