We have in Socaxtee a flock of sheep I
belonging to the Stalveyaand others
some of which are wild and unmanageable
as we pen only once a voar
in the Spring to shear and mark.
Some who owned t few sheep were
not willing to do what others thought i
to bo l ight, and a rule was adopted ,
by a majority of the owners of sheep |
to charge and collect 5 cents per head i
for penning ami 10 for shearing. We ,
always pen at 11. II. S.alvey's place, i
The above charges wore made on ]
owners who did not a -sist in hunting |
and penning the lloek. Five or six (
years ago 1 was left n hurgc of the i
lot or p. ii while other- hunted sheep 1
still at large and drove thorn to the i
pen, and had order- o let no one }
take or shear any sheep until they
paid the above amount for the pen
