It is likely that Prof. Morehead
will in a few weeks pursue a special
line of study in the city of Berlin,
hot letters addressed as above will
reach him in due time.

Christmas Services at Sharon Church,
GibsonviUe, N. C.
Oo Christmas eve, the Sharon
Sunday-school rendered the Christ
mas service entitled “The Bethle
hem Way’ ’ to the entire satisfaction
of all present, and the ahnrch was
packed to its utmost capacity. Af
ter tiie rendition of the exetcise the
beautiful Christmas tree,which con
tained a present and treat for each
member of the Sunday-school, was
the object of attraction. The tree
contained, besides the present and
treat of the members of the Sunday
school, many other pretty and val
uable presents, among which was a
parse containing a handsome snm
of money for Rev. and Mrs. C. A.
Brown.
The offering which was received
that evening was sent to the Or
phan Home, Salem. Va.
We have not gone into winter
quarters at Sharon, and the pros
pect is good for a butter and more
interesting Snnday-scbool in the
cojn^ng year than during the year
just ) closed. The work in the
charge is progressing nicely.
PASTOR’S APPRECIATION.
Dear Visitor:—I desire to say to
the chnrcb at large that it is with
feelings of deep regret that I leave
the Prosperity charge. Especially
do I deprecate the shortness of my
stay as pastor of such a noble,
kind and generous people. Noth
ing at all bis occurred to mar in
the least the exceedingly pleasant
relations existing between pastor
aud people. Every appeal to them
has been met by response exceed
ing the pastor’s expectation. Op
portunity of a broader field is the
only reason for my leaving. May
the church in general be as gener
ous and considerate as these good
people in putting men who are
called into fields of greater respon
sibility and usefulness. May the
Gi>d of all grace contiune to bless
the Prosperity charge with yet
greater victories for the Master
and speedily send them a shepherd
worthy of their strong faith aud
Christian character.
Sincerely,
W. Li. Hiller.
