in Jerusalem from all parts of the
earth, “pricked to the heart,” cried
out, “Men and brethren, what shall
we do to be saved.” It is the system
with which revivals, to the popular
krone, are connected to which the
writer of the tetter stands uncow
promisingly opposed. I know of no
other system with which they stand
connected, at least, in ibis country ,
but the Christian system j and surely
it can not be that. The fact proba
bly is that tbs system to which this
divine has reference is a vague men
tal conception, mere Doe ting stout*
of indistinct ideas.

some, protracted religious exercises

may be true of those wbo have never
becu blessed with a revival of re
ligion during their ministry ; but I
am dearly of the opinion that no
one who has, would ever mistake a
