For nearly thirty JLvt year* I bare been laboring ia • we*tern middle Georgia, and ooeaakmaUy viattiog and bolding meetings hoatb of thia I have oloaely watched the progrene of the Church at different podnu, aud for the want of liberality among our people in the support of tho min iatry, aoma are well nigh deserted, aa a minister can not afford to ride from DO to 40 mile* and preach gratuitously. The entire Lutheran Church in Middle Georgia, with hot one exception, ia miaatonary ground. la addition to a few weak organi rations, there are other point* of im portance that claim our attention. Our people are becoming encour aged from the increase nod talent in oar mioiateria! ranks, aud with a little more energy and liberality upou the part of our people the Lutheran Church ia bound to succeed. Rev*. Tigner and Kabn preached for us, aud made a very favorable impression u|k>u the au dience.
