I was handed to-day, by a friend,
tie “Proceedings of the Scmi-Cen-
tmnial Celebration of the Theological
Seminary of the Protestant Epiaco-
P*l Church in the Diocese of Vir
pia," recently held at the Seminary
sear Alexandria, Va. It was an oc-
•wrion of great rejoicing among the
Alnmni and friends of the Seminary,
wui several interesting speeches were
delivered by clergymen of high-stand-
iag and of much influence in the
church.
Among them was Rev. Joeepli
Ptdml, D.D., a professor in the
^urinary, who, in speaking of the
^*ign of the founders of the Setni-

“it was to be Protestant. Our
