Foreign Missions.—The pleas
ant mdn called yesterday, and asked
how much he ought to give to this
cause. “Not onr business to teach
yon that.” He gave us five dollar*,
aud he is a young man, and has
neither wife nor child. Think of
that you young gentlemen who have
nothing to give, because you are im
provident and extravagant. We have
sent $13 to the Corresponding Secre
tary of G. S. F. M. 8.; but we want
the remainder, $37, before Easter.

mian Literary Society of Newberry
College, having exhausted its means
