any want of iutereat or lock of faith
in the mission’s ultimate success—
The distinguished chairman of that
committee whose praise is iu all the
churches, because of hi* abundant
and successful labors in the cause of
missions and works of mercy, and
wbo has proved his inteiest in our
Richmond enterprise by the efficient
help which he has given it, writes :—
“Our committee would most cheer
fully aid longer, if it trere in our
patter. Our situation, however, ia
such that we can not, simply because

allusion to a suggestion that bad

Loxingtoo. The Doctor, had been to
see us the day before; but as it is
our rale never to ask a visitor for
