The business of Synod aud the exercises of the Sabbath being over, we took au affectionate leave of each other aud returned to our respective daces, awaiting the time for us to commence our journey home want. It being important to meet the con nection ou the Macon and Western road from Atlanta to Macoii, it was uecessary that we should leave before day on Monday nforning. The ireliminaries being agreed upon, we retired to rest ou Sunday night, and after a short sleep we arose and pre pared for our journey. By 2 o’clock A. After breakfast we resumed our journey aud arrived at Atlauta in full time dr the train; leaving the delegate from South Carolina to take the uight train for Augusta, we took our seats in the Macon train. Yon should study your catechism careftilly, aud learn what doctrines are contained in this celebrated Augsburg Confession, and have them explained to you by yoor teachers and iiarentu, in order that you may also understand what la taught in yourowu church. It ia discredits ble not to do this, and shows great .indifference upon a most momentous subject. A few days ago, I saw a Presbyterian catechism marked as the joint property of a Lutheran and a Methodist Sunday school, and it looked as If they had united to show special contempt to the denomina tions to which they professed to beloug.
