Jhmr Friend*: While ytt iu sad
ueas for the death of one of our
beloved teachers, we received tidings
that the good Father had sent for
another of his children. We are
culled upon to express our tender
sympathy and sorrow for the sepu
ratiou death has again made. We
grieve for Miss Lori more Mussot,
another daughter, sister, teacher,
friend—otto of those gentle spirits
that awakeu love on earth, und are
theu transferred to heaven, that our
minds uiay be drawn after, and that
we may realize that the true life is
not Acre, but hrrea/ter.
While we say, 4 ‘Thy will be done,"
we yet sorrow that one of earth's
fresh young flowers is cut off. We
sorrow not without hope, and a joy
ful hope. She has fluished tbe jour-
uey ; she has crossed the river, and
is safe at home.
Safe iu the beautiful uuuaiou altove.
Where the voter is all praise and tin-
heart is all lore: ^
Safe—she is wafted away from the mmI.
Safe, with her Fattier, her Saviour, brr
God.
How well we all retueiulier her
character. Gentleness, that sweet
charm of a young Christian, was
apparent iu the soft-tonwl voice and
kindly beaming eye. Mildutn* aud
sweetness of mauner were uutnrul to
ber. l>o not all remember her faith
fulness aud the interest exhibited iu
all that pertained her church and
Stiuday school. A long anil fatiguing
walk was not regarded wbeu tin*
sweet iluties ot the Sunt lay school
were to be performed. On Faster—
day of bright joy—she was among
the first in tbe little baud that loved
to adorn with putv flowers the hal
lowed walls of our sauctuarv.
