What action will Synod take f Lay hands on them suddenly, or provide means which will enable them to continue their preparation at a Theo logical Seminary ? 5. PASTORAL CHANGES. There have been quite a number during the past year, .but* as no official notice of any such has U‘cn received, I have nothing to comma nicate. C. THE GENERAL SYNOD. The attention of Synod is called to the follow ing items: 1. Revolted, That one tbouwMid copies of tlie Minutes of the Synod be published, and that each District Synod pay its pro rata share of the expenses for the printing of the Minutes, and forward the same, after the adjournment of each Synod, to the Treasurer of the General Synod. 2. The Report of the Committee on the Theological Seminary.—Whereas there exists a pressing necessity for a Theological Semiuary iu the bouuds of the General Synod, there fore your committee recommend the following: L That the Theological Semiuary be located at Columbia, South Caro lina, for the present 2. That donations be solicited from the different District Synods for the support of the Professors. 3. That an agent be employed for the purpose of securing permanent funds for investment. 4. That the Bonrij of Directors of the Seminary be authorized to pro vide for the re-opening of the Semi nary at an early a day as practicable. Synodical action on both items is respectfully invited. 7. LAST MINUTES. Two changes in our Constitution were made at our last Synodical Convention, neither of which have been recorded. I tfbuld recommend that they be published with tlie Minutes of the present meeting/ 8. ENQUIRIES. 1. I received a letter from Rev. 8. Bouknight, dated Noveinlier 10th, in which he asks for counsel in a “mat ter pertaining to the pastorates, ac cording to the arrangement of Synod."
