Monday.—After the opening exer

of the report of the committee,
appointed at tbe last convention of
the General Conned to answer the
Minnesota Memorial, was resumed.
This discussion filled the time of the
Afternoon Session on Monday also.
There has threatened to be aouto
trouble in tlie General Council, tf
division of opinion appearing to
grow strong enough to carry off a
i»ortiou of the Synods of the United
States into aseparate organization.
V The ground of this threatened
partition is the different understand
ing of tin* Declaration of Faith ujirin
rer, which the General Counwl was
Conned, by tlu* iliftVreut 8ynoils.
The morning was entirely taken up
by this sfihject.-v’ *
