Southwestern Virginia.—“Imagine,
if you can, my surprise on reading
in the Lutheran Visitor the proposi
tion that you give up tlie publication
of the paper to another. My surprise
was increased wheat I read: “1 aru
fuithorized by a number of the minis

make this proposition,” etc. It must
bo a very small number, indeed. I
have couversed with a huntber, aud
they atx* decidedly opposed to any
such change. I am also assured by
a number of the subscribers that if
such a change is made, they will
RUl>port the jiuper no longer* I hope
you will coutinue its editor, aud if
you do, 1 intend to make an effort
to iucrcase the number of subscriber*
in o»y charge.”
Southwestern Virginia oner more.—
“I can not refrain from writing you
a line after reading the proposition
in the last number of the l ardor.
I think it a condescension on your
part to have noticed him at all. Yon
need not fear. No, sir! You are
to entertain no such proi>o*itioii from
him, nor, us far as i am concerned,
from nnv one else.”
