LYDIA WKl?r?S, the little daughter of
W. S. and Annie C. Mowry of our town,
was born July 28, 1904, and died March
28, 1907.
The taking of this sweet little girl was
a great blow to her parents, lt was hard
that she should sicken and die, but alas,
sud? is life. Here our fondest hopes are
vain, and the dearest links are rent in
twain. The fond parents are not without
comfort. Tiley know "it is well with
the child."

The funeral services were conducted a
thc residence by Rev. ll. H. Covington5
of Sumter, at 3.30 Friday afternoon, and
the interment nt Oak Ridge cemetery, in
thc presence of a large concourse of rela
tives and friends of the family.

Died at his home in Adanisvillc on
Wednesday morning, March 27th 1907,
after a long illness, Mr. RU Gibson, a
well known and esteemed citizen of that
township, in his 84th year.
Thc funeral services were held at his
residence on Thursday afternoon conduc
ted by Rev. McCall of Gibson and the
interment took place at the Gibson ceme
tery near by his residence.
