Mr. Laurence D Newton's new house in East Bonnettsvillo will bo ready for him to move in next week. We extend a hearty wel come to this new addition to our growing town. DEATHS' DOINGS Died nt Iiis home in Adumsville on Sunday morning December 9, 1906, after a protracted illness, Mr. Daniel J. Odom an old and esteemed citizen of that town ship. He was funeralized at his residence Monday morning.by Rev. McKissick and tlie remains laid to rest with masonic honors in the family cemetery near by. A goodly number of his friends in our town went out and attended the services. ? * * Died at thc Haptist parsonage in Clio on Friday last after a short illness, Rev. N. S. Jones, a popular and well known Haptist minister and for the past two months pastor of the chu/ch at Clio, and who won the hearts of our people in a glorious revival at the Haptist church in our town three years ago, and afterward returned and carried away captive a fair young bride, Miss I<ois Ford, daughter of Rev. Rufus Ford, then pastor here. The body was embalmed and taken to Raleigh his old home for burial. He leaves a wife and two children. V Died at lier home in Red Hill on Sat urday last Dec. 8th 1906, after a long illness, Mrs Willie Wise Lide, wife ol Mr. lidward M. Dyde. She leaves with her husband four little children. Sile was a christian member of the Methodist church and lived up to her faith. The funeral services were held at Oak Ridge cemetery Sunday afternoon conducted by Rev. T. li. Morris of Hcnnettsville M. li. Church. * * * The many friends of Mr. and Mrs W. ll. Pearson of Adamsvale, sympathise with them in the loss of a precious child.
