New Orleans last week talking
corn. He raises 125 bushels to
the aero, and has been doing that
.tor ien years post. His method
of cultivating is peculiar. He
gives his corn but very little cul
tivation but givos that cultivation
nfc tho right time. Our people
work theirs into big stalks and
suinllcars. Mr. Williamson works
his up into small stalks and big
ears. Ho does not begtu to plough
his field until the corn has roach
ed a certain stage and ho saves
labor and makes a big crop. By
way of comparison, it might be
stated that the farmers around
Mr. Williamson raiso from 10 to
15 bushels of corn to tho acre. A
tysfom of farming by which 125
bushels of corn is produced to the
acre, is well worth looking into.
