also. The insurance money, which
was the main contention will now be
paid, and stories, mysteries hushed
up, sf the doubting Thomas's will
bo satisfied with it.

tho foregoing figuros. Tho in
crease of population, we do not
give the figures for lack of space,
bas boen far greater than tho in
crease of bales of cotton produced.
Then it is entirely obvious that
ovon last year's record breaking
crop foll short ot tho needs of tho
world. Lot it bo kept ?ti mind
that the yearly increase of demand
by the world lia? gone on while
tho crop for this year will fall
short of tho crop last year in
our judgement by possibly two
million bales. Thoro appears to
bo no reason why we should rush
our cotton on the market.

The President Maj. R. M. Peguos also requests those agents
that were appointed to colleot the 8 cents a bale tax to continue
the canvass and make their reports and turn over the money
solleoted to the Seo and Treas, by the first Monday in February.
