Hartford, Ala , of the 10th has the
following:
After a two weeks illness of pneu
monia, Mr. Chas Sutherland died at
4 30 o'clock Tuesday morning Feb 7b
1905, at the home of Mr. J. R. Alford,
Mr. Sutherland waa just recovering
from an attack of jauudice, when he
contracted pneumonia, and although
everything in hu nan power was done
for him, nothing could stay the ravag
es of the dread disease.
Mr. Sutherland was born in Marl
boro County, South Carolina about
55 years ago, aud had lived with Mr.
Alford for the past 12 years, moving
to Hartford with him about two years
ago.
He WEB of a quiet, retiring nature,
but inspired the respeot and esteem
of all who knew him. The remains
were buried at 4:30 o'clock Tuesday
afternoon, the funeral services being
conducted at the ?rtvo by Rev. H. S.
Ellison.
