If drinking liquor is his besetting sin, lie must bring the whole force of his manhood into play to resist and overcome the habit. To picture to him the evil conse quences, the degradation and .-. the utter and unaccountable fol ly of dissipation does little good, for a sensible and reflecting man who has gone down in this way is thoroughly acquainted with the saddest feature of the dran kurd's life. Every man has some will power and though it mn y be weakened by indulgence in any bad habit, nature does liol surrender altogether at any time and will power can be restored if the mind of a reasonable man will take the matter up within himself and plant his feet in the direction of a better life where there is hope and promises from on high that the image of the great Master shall no longer be defiled.
