A PRETTY MARRIAGE.

On Wednesday afternoon, Jan 20
at Antioch Methodist Church, Brights
villa Circuit, .tho marriage of. Miss
Vance OJom and Mr. Eugene Craig
of Chcraw, was solemnized. Tho mar*
ringo rites were performed in tho pres"
ence of a crowded church by Rev. F
H. Shuler.
The church was picturesque in ils
wedding garb of green and white..
Palms and ferns w?re gracefully bank-;
ed ?bout tho pulpit and chancel over
which was erected an arch of feathery
fortis, and white roses. From tho cen
tre of tins arch was suspended n large
hell mudo of white roses. Tinder this

plighted the vows that made them
man and wife. Red shaded lights
took tho pince of the banished day

the bridal party returned to Bennetts
ville, and thc dinner came off the da
following. The weather is so capricious
at this season, that we were a little ap
prehensive, especially, as the cloud
threatened rain, but, as time advanced
aurora with rosy fingers pushed bac
thc sable curtain of night and usherei
in a day bright with sunshine, warr
and soothing, bringing later on. an nu
conscious happiness to the invited guist:
There was a balmy influence suggestiv
of thc song ol birds and sparkling watei
rippling over pebbles; it was not a win
i ter day nor summer neither a sprin
day nor that ot autumn, but the delight
ot all ol these lelicitously blended int

ious with crimson and gold.
