The "New Bedford Mercury"
thinks that tho-high priae of
raw cotton is not the only trouble
with the cotton industry. A
more serious aspect seems to be
in Mio fact that there is no mar
aket for cotton goods at the prices
which prevailed before the price
of yaw "cotton went up. The
striwgbncy of the money market
and ?he liigh rate of interest is
another factor in thecaae which
is having an injurious effect.
