On the 17th our community
was visited with a heavy rain
and hail storm. J. W. McLaurin
& Sons damage on crops was

and Mr. John Wright all Buffer
ed heavy loss Mr. Brooks Ham
er and Mr. Charley Woodley's
loss was heavy. Others were
damaged but not so heavy.
Crops are some what later
than common this year, but are
looking fairly well where the
bail missed.
We think the farmers are in
title spirit over the prospect of
a good price for their cotton.
We always hope for better times
