W Freoman, one of Mr. Mathoson's bookkeeper's at Blenheim, has been granted a two week s rest by his employer and is spending it in Wilmington. Died nt the home of hi? father Mr. Robert Harrington of tho Bethel section, on Friday July 1 2th 1901, after 0 protracted illness of typhoid fever, Mr. Fairley' Bar rington. He had just started out on Ids first trip as Machino agent and was making friends fast, when he was stricken with fever and returned home. Thc race was not long but we i trust he has won the prize. He (was laid to rest on Saturday. Destroyed By Lightening. On Sunday afternoon last a barn on Mrs. Flora Emanuel's {ilace over the creek was struck >y lightening and burned. The farm was rented to Mr. John Genes, who lost about 2? bush els corn, lot of fodder, oats and shucks, half barrel syrup and some few other articles, making his loss about $50. During the thunder storm Mon day night or rather Tuesday morning near 2 o'clock, one of the gin hotiKcs on Mr. J. F. Brccden's old home place in Adamsvillo was struck by lightening and destroyed. In the building was one gin and condenser and a large lot of oat?. The building was of good heavy timber and had just been repaired. It un for lu untidy was tho only one of his gin houses not insured. The loss is about $500. Bettor Ronda.
