Hodges and children, who have been spending some lime visiting relatives in and around Florence, have returned home Misses Wilma and Allie Mooro, who spent tho holidays at home, have returned to their studios at tho Winthrop Normal College at Rock Hill. Mr. Henry C. Newton and fam ily, who have been living in southern Georgia, for three years, have returned to Marlboro, we hope to slay. Miss Mattie Bcvil, who has been sick for some monljis, has sufficiently recovered to be able lo travel and will take a trip io Fayetteville to-morrow. Rev. J. A. Williams, thc evan gelist, was in town yesterday. The tent is now near Mars Bluff, Florence county, where a meet ing begins to-night, Mr. J. C. Mr. Jesse Morris, superintend ent of Chancellor Johnson's Don oho place, was in town salosday and called to see us. Jesse is a hustling farmer and is going to cut down his cotton crop this year and plant tobacco. Mr. Eddie Evorott, son of Mr. J. F. Death's Doings. Died at thc home of her grund mother, Mrs. Flinn ie Spears, on Saturday last at 12:30 p. m., after a short illness of membranous croup, little Jessie, the live-yenr-old daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Barring ton. She was buried at Evergreen cemetery at 3:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon. She was a very bright hild mut only a few moments before she died she told her mother that he was growing weaker.
