The Eclipse
The eclipse of the sun on Sun
day was viewed with interest by
many of our people. The shadow
of the leaves on the ground was
not its least interesting feature.
The orb of day was about three
quarter in shadow for perhaps u
half hour. Smoked glasses were
lu demand.
An Apology.
An apology is due Mr. T. B
Butler of Gaffuej', candidate for
Congress, for the omission of
his card of aunouncemeut iu our
issue of last week. The omis
sion was brought about by the
fact that Che card beiug type,
written on ihe boMom of our
friend's letter, we replaced the
letter in its envelope, forgetting
to detach the announcement, so
it naturally didn't appear in the
next issue. You will find it to
day however, us well as many
other announcements of interest.
Study them all.
