There will be a very interest

by several speakers of uote ou
the objects of Woodcraft.
All are cordially invited to at

Memorial Exercises.
The annual Memorial Day ex
ercises were held at our ceine
tary on Monday, and the pro
gram was very impressive. The
day was ideal, and a large jiu
diance faced the orator of the
day, Hon. J. VV. Floyd when he
arose to deliver the Memorial ad
dress. Every one expected some
thing good from this matchless
orator, and tried veteran of the
so-called lost cause, and, we are
informed that noue were disap
pointed as the orator was given
spell bound attention during its
deliverauce.
The success and satisfaction
which attended tli ;s occasion
emphasizes our advice, previ
ously given to have a veteran j
deliver these meinoriul addresses
They are inteuded to warm the
hearts of the rapidly thinning
ranks of those who wore the grey
and to teach their descendants to
Iceep ever before them the glori
ous deeds o / their fore parents,
and to inculcate in their minds
that spirit of love of State,
country and home, without which
spirit no home and fireside is
perfect, and notation can re
tain its place, or retain its su
premacy.
